Mai Shahin
Co-Founder of Satyam
Mai Shahin is a Palestinian therapist, peace activist, facilitator, writer, and community organizer from East Jerusalem/ West Bank, Palestine. She is an activist with Combatants for Peace and co-founder of Satyam Homeland.
Her work focuses on collective liberation, women-led resistance, dialogue in times of conflict, and creating spaces for healing and transformation amid ongoing violence and oppression.
Mai has organized international nonviolent actions, hunger strikes, trauma-healing retreats, and dialogue spaces bringing together Palestinians, Israelis, and international communities. She also facilitates workshops in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), conflict transformation, trauma awareness, and collective care.
Her voice combines political clarity, deep humanity, and spiritual resilience, advocating for freedom, dignity, and an end to systems of violence for all people.
