Miriam Tumalin
Co-Founder of Satyam
Miriam Elizabeth Turmalin is a Spiritual Midwife and Holistic Art Therapist. Born in Nazareth to an Israeli Mother and German Father she was raised within the Jewish-Christian culture and due to the history of her ancestors, she became aware of the consequences of devastation of war as well as the possibility for reconciliation and healing from it.
She has been involved in peace activism since her early adulthood. Committed to peace building, she studied abroad to come back with tools to create spaces for healing, transformation and reconciliation.
Miriam was part of the leading team in EcoME, an ecolocal Peace Center which was located near Jericho between 2010-2018 and has been committed to create a new community space for Palestinian, Israeli and International encounter, which led her to co-found Satyam Homeland.
She has been mainly responsible for organizing and hosting events in Satyam, holding Grieving ceremonies, guided meditations and prayers to strengthen the vision of peace.
